Costumes and more costumes and a hell of a lot more is all that Ash is finding from the bin and he abandons that for a walk about the Compound with a cigarette. Maybe he'll stop by Stacie's grave and give her another talking to for abandoning him the way she did. Or maybe he'll just go and sell more cigarettes for nothing to see if that'll appease the terrible way he feels.

He doubts it, but he hopes.

Wherever his eventual direction, he starts off on the path and is smoking because it fills him up and makes him feel something other than the general gnawing hole that comes along with losing people too fast, too unexpectedly. He knows it's a rule, to be ready for it. Still, it shouldn't be like this.
